Pre-Match Pack: Falcons Double-Header

The Falcons Men and Women have named their squads for tomorrow’s T20 Double-Header at The Central Co-op County Ground. 

The Vitality Blast kicks off with a bumper day of T20 cricket, with Jon Dyson’s side taking on Sussex Sharks (2.30pm), before Mickey Arthur’s men host Durham (6.30pm), in partnership with Her Game Too.

Pakistan fast bowler, Akif Javed, is in line to make his Falcons debut, having linked up with the squad this week, while Ben Aitchison will be looking to build on his stellar all-round performance at Lord’s last time out.

Nye Donald will make his captaincy bow at Derby, with Caleb Jewell, Matthew Montgomery and Jack Morley all coming into the game in strong form, after the dominant win over Cheshire at Nantwich to warm-up for the Blast.

The Falcons Women have already claimed two T20 victories this season, as they march into round three of the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup, and will now turn their attention to vying for a spot at Vitality Blast Finals day.

Zak Chappell misses this game due to the groin injury sustained prior to the fixture at Lord’s.
