The Vitality Blast is back! The Falcons kick off their T20 campains with a huge Double-Header at The Central Co-op County Ground this Friday.

Led by new T20 skipper, Aneurin Donald, and boosted by the addition of Pakistan fast bowler, Akif Javed, the Falcons Men are aiming high in this summer’s Vitality Blast and will be hoping to make home advantage count on the first two Fridays of the competition.

T20 is the fastest-paced form of cricket, with explosive action and unparalleled drama from the first ball to the final over and everything to play for.

Plus, our new Falcons FanZone will be open for all T20s at Derby this summer! Scroll down to find out more.

A huge summer of T20 cricket

This week’s Double-Header sees Jon Dyson’s Falcons Women take on Sussex Sharks (2.30pm), before Mickey Arthur’s Men host Durham (6.30pm) in a bumper day of T20 action.

The East Midlands Derby returns to The Central Co-op County Ground on Friday 29 May, as the Falcons Men look to retain local bragging rights, before heading to Queen’s Park, Chesterfield on Sunday 28 June to face Yorkshire.

In July, Derby plays host to Lancashire Lightning, Somerset and Leicestershire Foxes, as we enter the business end of the competition.

The Falcons Women are aiming to go one step further than last summer, when they narrowly fell short of a place at Finals Day, and have also had excellent preparation for the Vitality Blast with two wins in the T20 Women’s County Cup.

All Falcons Women home Blast fixtures will be played at Derby or Chesterfield this summer, with FREE tickets available to be claimed now.

The Falcons FanZone Ready for Blast Off

The brand-new Falcons FanZone is set to elevate the matchday experience at The Central Co-op County Ground, opening for the first time as part of next week’s England Women vs  New Zealand Vitality IT20.

Created in response to supporter feedback, the FanZone has been designed to give fans a dedicated space to enjoy before and during play on all international and T20 matchdays this summer. Supporters can look forward to a wider range of food and drink, live music and entertainment, additional bars, relaxed seating areas and a vibrant social hub for Falcons fans.

An Improved Matchday Experience

The introduction of the Fanzone marks a significant enhancement to the overall matchday experience. Whether meeting friends before the game, grabbing food and drink between innings or soaking up the atmosphere across both fixtures, supporters will be able to enjoy more than ever before at the ground.

This development forms part of an ongoing commitment to improving supporter experience at The Central Co-op County Ground, ensuring every visit is bigger, better and more memorable.
