Andersson wins PCA Player of the Month for May

Derbyshire all-rounder, Martin Andersson, has won the PCA Player of the Month award for May, after a string of stellar performances. 

The 29-year-old scored 237 runs as well as claiming Derbyshire’s best-ever T20 figures with 6-23 against Leicestershire Foxes, while his three-consecutive half-centuries in the Vitality Blast has established him as one of the most dangerous batters in the competition.

Andersson has also impressed in the Rothesay County Championship, scoring 106 against Northamptonshire, as Derbyshire forced their way into the promotion race with back-to-back wins in red ball cricket.
