Derbyshire Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach, James Fitzgerald, recently completed a marathon around the ground at Derby – in full cricket gear!
Wearing pads, gloves and bat in hand, James ran over 90 laps round the outfield on Monday – battling the inclement weather in a effort taking over five hours to complete.
Supported by members of the squad throughout his run, Fitzy is raising funds for the Club’s Official Charity Partner, Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity.
After running the London Marathon earlier this year, James will also be running the Berlin Marathon in September.
Any donations towards James’ fundraising effort would be greatly appreciated by the charity and James himself.
