Metro-Bank One-Day Cup returns next week

The Falcons Men begin their Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign next week, with former England captain, Ben Stokes, set to feature at The OurCoop County Ground.

Tuesday’s fixture against Durham will mark Stokes’ first official appearance since stepping down from his position of England Test captain last month, with the ICC Men’s World Cup winner not taking part in The Hundred.

The game is the first of four huge 50-over games to take place across Derbyshire throughout the school holidays, with the Falcons heading to Repton School on Friday 31 July, before a pair of Sunday fixtures on the 2nd (Sussex Sharks) and 9th of August (Middlesex, Tap Takeover Fixture)!

50-over cricket is the game’s most complete format, bringing together the big-hitting action of T20 and the enthralling nature of the red ball game to form a full day of fun and a drama, with a result guaranteed!
