Pre-Match Pack: Worcestershire Rapids Women (H)

Derbyshire Falcons Women have announced a 12-player squad to take on Worcestershire Rapids Women, as they return to Metro Bank One-Day Cup action tomorrow at Denby C.C. (10:30am scheduled start).

Head of Women’s Cricket, Jon Dyson, has made two changes to his side, following The Falcons’ final clash of their Vitality Blast campaign.

Lara Shaw, back-to-back Derbyshire Women Batter of the Year award-winner and Blaze Academy loanee, replaces Emily Hughes at the top of the order, and could make her first appearance of 2026 for The Falcons, after being absent so far this season through injury.

Meanwhile, fellow loanee, Maria Andrews, also returns to the matchday squad in place of Francesca Clarke. Having become a standout performer for The Blaze throughout this season, Andrews could make her second appearance of Derbyshire’s 2026 campaign, after taking a four-wicket haul in her only other appearance, in a six-wicket victory over Sussex.
