Women’s T20 World Cup: England play in historic final

England and Australia played out a historic ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final, in front of more than 28,000 spectators at Lord’s.

Captain, Nat Sciver-Brunt, scored an unbeaten half-century in the final, while Freya Kemp scored 44 off just 28 balls to help England to 150-4 from their 20 overs. However, 64 from Beth Mooney and 48 from Phoebe Lichfield ensured Australia claimed their seventh crown.

Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway graduate, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, with her 302 including one century and one half-century in seven innings.
