England Mixed Disability squad named for India series

England Men’s Mixed Disability team have announced their 15-strong squad for this summer’s Vitality Mixed Disability IT20 series against India.

The series kicks off with two games at The OurCoop County Ground, this Wednesday and Friday (both 2.30pm), with entry being FREE for both fixtures! The series will also be available to watch on the ECB website.

There are three new call-ups, for Antony Clapham, George Greenway and 17-year-old Henry Golding. Lancashire’s Callum Flynn will lead the team, with Liam O’Brien continuing his role as vice-captain.

Callum Flynn said: “Any time you get selected for England it’s an honour, and we’re all thrilled about taking part in this series.

“We’re building up a pretty good rivalry with India so hopefully we can keep the wins coming this summer, but they’re a seriously impressive side and improving every time we come up against them.

“It’s fantastic preparation for the Ashes next summer – that’s a huge incentive for the whole squad. I’m delighted for Anthony, George and Henry – they’ve deserved their call-up and I know they’ll be relishing the opportunity.”
