Derbyshire face Middlesex in the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Middlesex at The OurCoop County Ground, starting tomorrow (11am).
Having claimed a five-wicket haul in each of his last four County Championship appearances, Ben Aitchison will be looking to reach 50 red ball wickets for the season in this game, with the tall seamer currently four away. Only Matthew Potts of Durham has claimed more dismissals than Aitchison in either division this summer.
Former Middlesex all-rounder, Martin Andersson, will be hoping to continue his push for 1,000 Championship runs this season (559 currently), while Wayne Madsen already has fond memories of facing the Lord’s outfit this season, having scored a century in May.
Will Rogers could make his Derbyshire debut in place of Brett Randell, who misses out through concussion protocols after being struck on the head against Durham.
Luis Reece continues his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury with the Club’s Medical Team, with Zak Chappell also stepping up his return to fitness in recent weeks. Harry Moore (back), Pat Brown (shoulder) and Rory Haydon (back) will all miss the remainder of the season.
