Some of The Hundred’s biggest stars will be in action, when England Women return to Derby on Thursday 3 September for a Metro Bank One Day International against Ireland (1pm).
England’s Sophia Dunkley, who scored 301 runs for Trent Rockets as they lifted the Women’s Hundred trophy, Tilly Corteen-Coleman (13 wickets) and Charlie Dean (12 wickets) could all be in action for England’s final visit to the East Midlands this summer.
A trio Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway graduates all had strong showings in The Hundred. Bess Heath was ever-present for the victorious Trent Rockets, Sarah Glenn claimed nine wickets for Southern Brave and Danni Wyatt-Hodge was in fine form for MI London before injury ended her tournament.
Ireland’s talismanic all-rounder, Orla Prendergast, was also in great form. She claimed six wickets across just four appearances for Welsh Fire, including best figures of 4-18 against Manchester Supergiants.
Tickets are on sale now for the ODI fixture, which takes place in the final week of the school holidays, making it the perfect end of summer treat for your family.
