Derbyshire County Cricket Club has signed an extended multi-year agreement with Kitlocker, which will see New Balance become the club’s official kit supplier from the 2027 season.

The agreement extends Derbyshire’s relationship with Sheffield-based teamwear specialist Kitlocker, with the club moving to New Balance as it enters an exciting new chapter in its kit partnership.

Kitlocker is the UK licensee for New Balance Team Sports and will continue to manage the kit supply for the club, bringing together the service and infrastructure of Kitlocker with one of the world’s most recognised sporting brands.

The partnership will make Derbyshire the first and only professional cricket club to be supplied with New Balance apparel for the 2027 season, marking a significant milestone for both the club and the continued development of New Balance Team Sports in the UK.

From 2027, Derbyshire players and staff will wear New Balance across the club’s playing and training ranges, with the partnership encompassing high-performance apparel designed to meet the demands of the professional game.

The new agreement builds on an already established relationship between Derbyshire and Kitlocker. Having worked closely with the club over a number of years, Kitlocker will continue to provide the service, account management and teamwear expertise that Derbyshire has become accustomed to, while introducing the club to a new premium performance brand.

Dan Wheeldon, Head of Cricket Operations at the club said:

“We’re delighted to have agreed this new long-term partnership with Kitlocker and New Balance. To align Derbyshire with a globally recognised brand such as New Balance is a fantastic opportunity and will take our playing kit and retail offering to another level.

Since we began working with Kitlocker two years ago, their service, quality and reliability have been first class. Bringing that together with the strength and global reach of New Balance makes this a really exciting partnership for everyone connected with the club.

We’re looking forward to seeing the partnership develop over the coming years and delivering an even better kit and retail experience for our players, members and supporters.”

Mike Atkin, Director of Licensed Brands at Kitlocker said:
“We’re incredibly proud to extend our partnership with Derbyshire and to begin this next chapter together with New Balance.

Our relationship with Derbyshire has been built over many years and goes far beyond simply supplying kit. We have developed a strong understanding of the Club, its people and what it requires from a teamwear partner, so the opportunity to continue that relationship through a new multi-year agreement is hugely important to us.

To make Derbyshire the only New Balance professional cricket club for 2027 makes this partnership particularly significant. New Balance is an iconic global sports brand with a reputation for performance and innovation, and we believe it is an excellent fit for the ambitions of the club.”

The move represents the next stage of Kitlocker’s partnership with New Balance Team Sports, as the Sheffield-based company continues to expand the brand’s presence across the UK.

Further details of the Derbyshire and New Balance playing, training and supporter ranges for the 2027 campaign will be revealed ahead of next season.
