Pre-Match Pack: Northamptonshire (A)

Derbyshire have named a 14-player squad for their Rothesay County Championship fixture against Northamptonshire at The County Ground, Northampton, starting tomorrow (10.30am).

Following his Player of the Series performances for Pakistan in the Tests against England, Muhammad Abbas returns to the Derbyshire squad for the final two games of the season. The overseas bowler now has more than 900 first class wickets to his name at an average of just over 20.

Abbas’ return bolsters an in-form bowling attack, with Ben Aitchison passing 50 County Championship wickets for the season during the victory over Kent, while Brett Randell and Martin Andersson claimed a number of crucial dismissals.

Martin Andersson scored his third red ball century of the summer last week, putting him on 800 runs for the season with two games remaining.
