Squad update: Winter 2026/27

Four men’s players and six women’s players will depart Derbyshire at the conclusion of the 2026 season. 

Mitch Wagstaff, Will Rogers and Joe Hawkins will be released at the conclusion of their contracts. Anuj Dal announced his retirement from professional cricket earlier this month, to pursue a career in financial services.

Both graduates of the Derbyshire Pathway, Wagstaff and Hawkins made a combined 28 appearances for the men’s first team, with the former scoring two first-class half-centuries.

Hawkins made his first-class debut against Northamptonshire in 2025 after impressing in Second XI and Under 18s cricket, where he captained the age group to the ECB County Plate the same summer.

Sophia McCollum, Harriet Parkin, Ella Porter, Francesca Clarke and Caitlin McDonald left the Falcons Women at the end of the season, while Tash Allen announced her retirement from the game in August.
