Whiteley signs one-year extension

Derbyshire Falcons batter, Ross Whiteley, has signed a new one-year deal with the Club. 

A two-time Vitality Blast winner with Hampshire and Worcestershire, Whiteley re-joined Derbyshire in 2024 and has been an key fixture in the Falcons Men side, providing big hitting and excellent fielding.

Whiteley is a graduate of the Derbyshire boys Pathway and was a part of the side which won the County Championship Division Two in 2012, with him hitting the winning runs against Hampshire to secure the title.

He will remain with the Club for the 2027 campaign, as the Falcons aim to improve on this year’s showing in white ball cricket, as they welcome back key pieces of the T20 bowling attack, such as Zak Chappell, Harry Moore and Pat Brown, from injury.
