Derbyshire stars light up Canada Super60

Derbyshire Falcons Men duo, Martin Andersson and Nye Donald, were among the star performers at the Canada Super60 T10 tournament.

Led by Mickey Arthur, whose Vancouver Anchors fell narrowly short in the final to the Toronto Sixers, Andersson finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker (12) and also blitzed 128 runs at a strike rate of more than 200.

Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway graduate, Bess Heath, lifted the Canada Super60 Women’s trophy with Toronto Sixers. The wicketkeeper-batter scored 67 runs and claimed four dismissals on her way to silverware.

The tournament marks the start of a busy winter for Donald, who has already been selected for the Abu Dhabi T10 and ILT20, with fellow Falcon Wayne Madsen set for a stint in the inaugural Italia T10.
