Members of the Derbyshire squad have been playing in various parts of the globe over the past few weeks. Here, we catch up to see how everyone has been getting on.

Lauren Kenvyn has headed to Australia this winter, where she is playing for Edinburgh Cricket Club in Melbourne.

Opening the batting this weekend in a T20 match, Kenvyn smashed a mammoth 184 not out off just 80 balls, with 26 fours and 10 sixes. To cap off an outstanding performance, the Falcons all-rounder then claimed figures of 2-13 off four overs!

Representing England at Hong Kong Sixes over the past weekend, Martin Andersson impressed with the bat as England narrowly lost to South Africa in the Bowl Final.

Andersson registered two fifties across four matches, scoring 135 runs in the process. In the match against India, Andersson smashed 51 off just 13 balls, finishing the tournament with 14 sixes and a strike rate of 275.

Rhiannon Knowling-Davies has recently arrived in Australia, playing one match for Anglesea Cricket Club so far.

The Falcons Bowler of the Year started with an economical spell of 0-23 off four overs, as Anglesea fell defeat to Geelong City Sharks.

Muhammad Abbas reached a special milestone last week, claiming his 60th first-class five-wicket haul in the President’s Trophy Final.

The Pakistan seamer returned second innings figures of 5-70 as he gears up for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka next week.

Matilda Atherton-Gater is also playing club cricket in Melbourne, representing Croydon Ranges Cricket Club. She has featured in both men’s and women’s cricket for the side, with a top score of 56 not out batting at number three in a midweek T20.

Falcons batter, Frances Lonsdale, will spend the winter in North Sydney representing Kincumber-Avoca Cricket Club. Across five matches so far, Lonsdale has registered a high score of 49.

Amrit Basra will soon begin his season in Australia with West Torrens Cricket Club, while Nick Potts is also set to head Down Under.

Coming up in November

The overseas action continues throughout November, with several Falcons set to feature in franchise competitions alongside those playing club cricket.

Falcons skipper Nye Donald starts a busy period of action around the globe, firstly representing UAE Bulls in the Abu Dhabi T10, starting this Saturday.

Donald will then travel to Australia for a five-match T20I series representing England. Following his first overseas international tour, he will join Perth Scorchers for the Big Bash, taking him through Christmas and into the New Year.

Club Captain Wayne Madsen will be taking part in the inagural Italia T10, from 18-29 November.

With Sir James Anderson signed up to represent franchise Napoli Knights, it could provide an exciting springboard for cricket in Italy.
